I started acting in high school plays so I'd have a reason to get out of the house. They quickly began to consume my life and I spent as much time in the theater as I possibly could. After moving to NYC at 18, I also began pursuing film and found early success with a lead role in Shabbat Dinner, a short film about a jewish teen coming to terms with his sexuality. The film played in over 50 festivals, won several, and has accrued hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube since it was uploaded.

Though I begin spending a lot of time writing and directing in 2015, I still perform in projects that catch my eye. While I don’t always write with a role for myself in mind, there are a couple projects like Battlelines and Staywhere it felt like a good fit.

Physically I can play well below my actual age, though with facial hair I can pretty comfortably portray someone in their 30’s. I tend to be cast as the innocent soul who’s been hurt, or as the smart guy desperate to be liked but completely helpless when it comes to making that happen. I’m also a bit of a clown, and love diving into really bizarre character roles.

In addition, I perform as a recurring guest on Tabletopnotch, a TTRPG live-play show on Twitch. Most notably I had a 15-episode run in their Brunkhollow campaign, and was main cast in The Fall of Alethkar. The live-play medium fascinates me, and I hope to keep exploring that combination of gameplay and character-based improvisation.
